Baby moose and its mama stop traffic in Alaska

What’s cooler than seeing a moose in the wild? Seeing a baby moose and a mama moose strolling down a highway together.

The person who filmed this adorable video spotted the pair walking alongside a highway in Homer, Alaska. What happened next just could not be avoided.

“My wife and I were driving home and saw a baby and mama moose next to the highway and we decided to stop to let them cross the roadway,” he said. “They decided to walk down the lane we were driving on. About a minute of trailing them at a slow 3 mph, my wife who was driving told me that this would be a good opportunity to film the mom and calf. From what I understand, the baby and mother safely crossed the road and went to rest next to the nearby Paul Banks elementary school. The school the next day live-streamed a video of the moose and made the area they were in off-limits to students.” Read more…
