Bounce houses are a staple at kid parties and let’s be honest, they are awesome. Most adults, if they were telling the truth, also think that.

But surprisingly, the 2-year-old boy in this video is not having the shrieking good time you’d expect. Instead, he’s standing calmly in the bounce house in his polo, slacks, and zip-up jacket. It’s very clear that he doesn’t really want to be there, but he is willing to tolerate the situation for the sake of his parents and the other kids.

We’re pretty convinced that right after the video ends, he pulled his iPhone out of his pocket, checked his email, and then made a few business calls. Read more…

If you’re freaking out about the possibility of four Game of Thrones spinoffs, we’ve got good news — George R. R. Martin has revealed that there are actually five potential projects in development over at HBO, and they’re not what you might expect.

The first four, as previously announced, are being written by Max Borenstein, Jane Goldman, Brian Helgeland, and Carly Wray, with Martin collaborating with the scribes on all four of the potential shows. 

“Every one of the four has visited me here in Santa Fe, some of them more than once, and we’ve spent days together discussing their ideas, the history of Westeros and the world beyond, and sundry details found only in The World of Ice & Fire and The Lands of Ice & Fire,” Martin wrote in a blog post on his LiveJournal. Is there anything in this world The Simpsons hasn’t predicted?

The answer, it would appear, is a big ‘ol no. They predicted Lady Gaga’s Super Bowl performance, they predicted a whole bunch of technology advances, and — as you’ve probably already read — they even predicted a Donald Trump presidency.

But the list doesn’t stop there.

Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella set a high bar for developers at the company’s annual Build conference last week with a slightly off-putting challenge: don’t let your programs — and by extension, our technology — turn human society into a subservient mass of soulless drones. 

“I do believe it’s up to us to ensure that some of the more dystopian scenarios don’t come true,” Nadella said, flanked by a backdrop of the book jacket illustrations from George Orwell’s 1984 and Aldous Huxley’s Brave New World, two of the 20th century’s most well-known works of fiction.

The internet loves cats. And puppers. And doggos.

So you’d be pleased to find out that South Korea’s First Pets are all from shelters, and that they’re cute as heck. 

South Korean President Moon Jae-in introduced his cat — Jjing-jjing — to the country’s presidential mansion yesterday (May 14):

Jjing-jjing is coming to the Blue House alongside Maroo and Tory, Moon’s dogs. The cat rose to fame during Moon’s first presidential campaign in 2012, when Moon ran against Park Geun-hye. Read more…

However good you might be at soccer, you’ve got nothing on this kid.

2-year-old Korbin Jackson has an Instagram account dedicated to all sorts of trick shots. Previous videos suggest he’s already a total pro at basketball and ping pong, but from the looks of the clip he shared two days ago we can safely add a new skill to his list — snuffing out the candle of a birthday cake with a soccer ball.

Apple’s stunning new campus in Cupertino, called Apple Park, was scheduled to open to employees in April 2017, but no announcements have been made during that month and we’re already deep into May. 

However, most of the buildings at the 175-acre campus appear to be near-finished at this point, and thanks to videographer Matthew Roberts, you can now see how the construction had progressed from June 2016 until now in glorious 4K resolution.

Roberts has diligently been filming Apple’s new campus with a Phantom 3 Pro drone during the last year, and now he compiled the best moments into one six-minute video.  Read more…

Kendall Jenner hasn’t exactly been in hiding since her appearance in Pepsi’s disastrous and excruciatingly tone-deaf advert. But Jenner’s first modelling spread since the ad wasn’t quite the comeback she had in mind because her photographer kind of stole her thunder. 

Cole Sprouse — star of Riverdale and The Suite Life of Zack and Cody — photographed Jenner for the high fashion shoot for the Sunday Times Style magazine. But, the reaction on social media was less focused on Jenner’s comeback, and more on Sprouse’s newfound career as a fashion photographer.  Read more…

These Japanese “schoolgirls” are making sumo wrestling great again.

Two Japanese sumo girls are seen twisting, throwing, and body dropping each other with ease in a promotional video for a high school sumo tournament.

The video, entitled “Sumo Girl 82 techniques”, showcases the 82 known winning techniques of sumo wrestling and is a promotional video for the High School Sumo Kanazawa Tournament.  

In order to win a sumo match, you have to force your opponent out of the ring, or make them touch the ground with any part of the body other than their feet.  Read more…

Charlie Hunnam may be best known as a badass leather-clad biker these days, but back in 1998 he had an entirely different look.

During an appearance on The Graham Norton Show on Friday, the Sons of Anarchy and King Arthur star was presented with some footage from his earliest acting performance: a 1998 cameo in the British teen drama Byker Grove.

We don’t know what’s more fun to watch: the footage itself, or Charlie Hunnam’s mildly cringy reaction to watching it again. Read more…
