The Kenny Powers of tech execs, Steve Ballmer, busted out his signature buck wild energy at the most boring of sporting events: the press conference.
Ballmer, the former Microsoft CEO and current Los Angeles Clippers NBA team owner, is extremely, voice-crackingly stoked about some of his team’s new players. In July, the Clippers acquired NBA all-stars Paul George and Kawhi Leonard. Leonard is particular cause for celebration, having led the Toronto Raptors to capture the NBA Championship this year against the Golden State Warriors.
At a press conference introducing the team’s new stars, Ballmer went off book, straying from his scripted remarks to emit a “WOOOOoooo000!” reminiscent of his wild Microsoft product debut days. Read more…
