‘September’ songwriter Allee Willis is not a fan of Taylor Swift’s Earth, Wind & Fire cover

Taylor Swift got dragged pretty hard last month when she released her cover of Earth, Wind & Fire’s “September.” But little did we know the sickest burns were yet to come.

Allee Willis, who co-wrote the original tune with Maurice White and Al McKay, has weighed in with her assessment of Swift’s version. And what she had to say was… well, get your ice packs ready.

Willis shared her thoughts during a recent performance in Detroit. “I didn’t really think she did a horrible job,” she began.
