Please appreciate this brilliant hands-free Oreo dispenser

TwitterFacebook

We are truly living in the golden age of human innovation.

Practical engineer and YouTuber Emiel Noorlander built a hands-free Oreo dispenser from scratch. The user simply has to place their chin at the dispenser, and it’ll send a perfect Oreo straight into their mouth.

Cutting the wood precisely so it interlocks, Noorlander manages to create a dispenser complete with moving parts. Once he paints it, he mounts it by his workstation so he can snack hands-free.

It’s brilliant, but where does the milk go? Read more…

A Keurig has the ability to unite people — they’re the one thing that poor college students, adults, and hotel continental breakfasts agree on.

Indiegogo CEO: We want to reach more Chinese inventors

TwitterFacebook

Ten years ago, Indiegogo launched the modern era of crowdfunding by creating a place where anyone could pitch their idea, product, or creative endeavor to the entire world, asking for the funds to make it reality. Today there are no shortage of crowdfunding sites, and even though Indiegogo isn’t as large as rival Kickstarter, it’s still tremendously influential, offering entrepreneurs not just a funding platform, but also support beyond their campaigns, with tools to ease the transition from concept to launch.

Indiegogo has always had a more worldwide audience than its peers, and now current CEO David Mandelbrot wants to take things further with more outreach to inventors in China as he leads the venture-funded company to profitability. Mandelbrot joined Mashable’s MashTalk podcast to talk about how crowdfunding has evolved since in the past decade, how the company approaches quality control, and what he thinks of Indiegogo’s “anything goes” reputation. People are aghast at this super long list of roommate requirements

TwitterFacebook

Most of us are just happy with a roommate who’s clean and pays rent on time.

Not this particular renter in London, whose fastidious list of demands for a future roommate has gone viral over the weekend.

SEE ALSO: The pop culture that made us feel less ashamed

The requirements, posted by Twitter user @rxdazn, were originally sent to someone who wanted to check out the available room.

Elon Musk dismisses claims that moving to Mars is an ‘escape hatch for rich people’

TwitterFacebook

Elon Musk has dismissed claims that humans moving to Mars is an “escape hatch for rich people.”

During an interview with Axios on HBO Sunday night, the SpaceX founder and CEO said he was “talking about moving there,” and that it’s 70 percent likely he’ll get there personally. Even though there’s a heightened risk of death.

Musk’s big Mars plans are no secret. In Sept. 2017, the 47-year-old billionaire announced his ambitious intention to get to Mars by 2022 — before preparing for a human crew in 2024.

Musk backed up this timeline on Sunday, telling Axios that human trips to Mars would be possible in seven years time. Unsurprisingly, tickets to Mars ain’t gonna be cheap, priced at “around a couple hundred thousand dollars.” Read more…

‘Venom’ just passed ‘Wonder Woman’ at the global box office

TwitterFacebook

As if to prove there’s no justice in the real world, Venom is on track to overpower two previous superhero box office titans — and possibly become one of the most profitable movies of its ilk.

After reaching $822 million in total global earnings over the weekend, Venom has eclipsed both Wonder Woman‘s $821 million and Spider-Man‘s $821 million.

This might be cause for confusion and concern among superhero movie fans, since Venom received quite, uh, “mixed reviews” from critics and audiences alike.

SEE ALSO: ‘Venom’ is hilarious, and I’m not entirely sure if it’s on purpose

Yet it’s still projected to become one of the most profitable big budget superhero movies yet after accounting for both its production budget and its gross earnings, according to Forbes. Read more…

Trump is thankful for himself this Thanksgiving weekend

TwitterFacebook

Trump doesn’t understand most things, and that appears to include how giving thanks on Thanksgiving works.

SEE ALSO: We regret to inform you Trumpy Bear is a *real* thing you can spend money on

While the rest of America spent the holiday expressing their gratitude for family, health, plentiful meals, loved ones, and a host of other blessings, the President seems to have confused the spirit of Thanksgiving with the opportunity for a #SelfLoveSunday post.

So great that oil prices are falling (thank you President T). Add that, which is like a big Tax Cut, to our other good Economic news. Inflation down (are you listening Fed)!

Twitter users helped reunite long-lost BFFs and it was the purest thing ever

TwitterFacebook

We all remember that one temporary childhood best friend who, for some reason or another, got away. Not many of us can say that the internet made it their personal mission to reunite us, though.

But such is the case for these 24-hour vacation besties, brought back together after twelve long years apart thanks to a viral Twitter post with 94,000 retweets (and counting).

Hey twitter, I met this girl on a dinner cruise in Hawaii in 2006. We were basically bestfriends for that night so I need y’all to help me find my bestfriend cause I miss her and I need to see how she’s doing now. Please retweet this so we can be reunitedpic.twitter.com/LRtk6ClvV3
