Len Wein, Wolverine co-creator, dead at 69, gets tribute from Hugh Jackman, others

One of the masters of the comic book universe, writer and editor Len Wein, has died at the age of 69, and the giants in his field took to Twitter on Sunday to remind us all of the talent we lost.

Wein co-created well known characters like Swamp Thing and launched the new version of the X-Men in the ’70s, which included new characters co-created by Wein such as Wolverine, Storm, Nightcrawler, and Colossus. Those once relatively obscure characters were later turned into mainstream favorites by Hollywood, cementing Wein’s legacy beyond the realm of comic books.  Read more…
