Intense dashcam video shows a falling tree narrowly missing a car

A woman driving on a road in Georgia was nearly crushed when a tree suddenly fell across the road due to Tropical Storm Irma’s intense winds.

Michael Head was traveling on Highway 92 near Fayetteville on Monday when he witnessed the jaw-dropping accident. A dashcam in his car captured the whole thing, as you can see in the video above.

April Baxter, who was driving in the vehicle in front of Head, crashed into the tree just as it hit the ground, causing her SUV to tilt up into the air. In the clip, you can see just how close the tree came to crushing her vehicle. 

“I started falling and just closed my eyes and hit the brakes,” Baxter told Atlanta station WSBTV. “I closed my eyes and the airbags popped. It was all so fast, very fast.” Read more…
