An alleged copy of Tesla’s self-titled “Anti-Handbook Handbook” for new employees leaked and, like Elon Musk himself, it’s absolutely desperate to sound cooler than it actually is.

Reading like the worst – or best? – of Musk’s Twitter feed, the four-page document (published by Business Insider on Thursday) is ostensibly standard workplace culture policies, only those policies are described in overly familiar, self-aggrandizing, and unnecessarily aggro tones. 

“We’re Tesla. We’re changing the world. We’re willing to rethink everything,” it starts. “We’re different and we like it that way. Being different allows us to do what no one else is doing; to do what others tell us is impossible.” Read more…

Herman the pigeon welcomed a canine newcomer at the animal sanctuary he calls home with more affection than many millennials get in a year, and the adorable pictures are proof that friendship has no species. 

Herman and his chihuahua friend Lundy live at The Mia Foundation, an animal rescue in Rochester, New York that specializes in pets born with birth defects.

Lundy came to The Mia Foundation in mid-January and can’t use his back legs due to potential hydrocephalus. Herman has been at the foundation since Nov. 2018, and has been their resident bird ambassador ever since.

YouTube megastar, Los Angeles neighborhood terrorizer, and definitely fake marriage haver Jake Paul has a new idea to better the lives of his Gen Z fans by teaching them how to be exactly like him.  

Variety reports that Paul launched his new enterprise, the Financial Freedom Movement (FFM)  at a skate park on Saturday after tweeting his desire to educate the younger generation on how to become online entrepreneurs in the vein of Jake and his brother Logan.

The dark comedy — perhaps the pinnacle of dark comedies — from creator Dave Holstein premiered in 2018, starring Jim Carrey as a Mr. Rogers-esque children’s TV host mourning the recent loss of his teenage son.

“If you ask me in an elevator ‘What’s the show about?’ I really don’t know how to answer that question,” Holstein tells Mashable in a phone interview after Season 2’s debut. “It’s hard to explain, because the tone doesn’t come across in a pitch about a guy who loses his son.”

Out of all the faces to put on Doc Brown and Marty McFly in Back to the Future, I never knew how bad I needed it to be Robert Downey Jr. and Tom Holland.

This deepfake clip superimposes the faces of Downey Jr. and Holland over the original actors Christopher Lloyd and Michael J. Fox, giving us an incredibly convincing glimpse at what it would be like if the Avengers themselves rebooted the 1985 classic Back to the Future. YouTuber EZRyderX47 did a very good job with this one.

Given the two actors’ history as Iron Man and Spider-Man, and the pseudo-father-son dynamic that happened in the Marvel movies, this seems like it would be a great fit for Downey and Holland. Or we could just deepfake their faces into the entire movie. Read more…

New iterations of the Tesla Model S and Model X are boasting some pretty impressive new travel ranges, Tesla revealed on Friday.

The pages for the Model S and Model X claim that the Long Range Plus versions of these two electric vehicles can now hit ranges of 390 and 351 miles respectively, which is a healthy bump up from the previous estimated ranges of 373 and 328 miles.

What changes were made that allow for the bump in ranges? Tesla doesn’t specify, but we do know that the Model S will be getting a new style of 19-inch wheels, which probably doesn’t hurt the mileage. Read more…
