Have you ever watched The Muppets and thought “This, but more murder?”

If you have – and even if you haven’t – The Happytime Murders is here to scratch a very bizarre itch. Muppets are getting murdered, and those that are living have answers, and plenty of demons.

This 3D-printed bicycle is stronger than titanium

TwitterFacebook

The Arevo bicycle looks and feels like a high-end commuter bike, but it was made using 3D-printing technology and software. It’s being hailed as the first truly 3D-printed bicycle.

The Bay Area-based “additive manufacturing” company (that’s what engineering-level 3D printing is called these days) made the fully functional bicycle as a proof-of-concept to show that the thermoplastic material, laser-heating, and robotic 3D-printing process can be used to replace metal parts for defense companies, airplanes, fighter jets, electronics, and more. Basically 3D printing doesn’t mean chintzy plastic figurines anymore. Read more…

Grimes is legally changing her name, thanks to Elon Musk

TwitterFacebook

Elon Musk and Grimes are being the world’s nerdiest couple, again.

SEE ALSO: Of course Elon Musk and Grimes spawned a beautiful new meme

Originally born Claire Boucher, Grimes announced on Thursday that she’s legally changing her name to just c, which is the measurement for the speed of light in a vacuum. She tweeted a screenshot of the Wikipedia article about it, adding “this will be much better.” Grimes also specified the name c will be lowercase and italicized.

Twitter is trolling Elon Musk for thinking he invented the subway

TwitterFacebook

Ahh, tech industry hubris. It never ceases to inspire.

On Thursday, Elon Musk held an information session to discuss the progress of his Boring Company, and share his vision for the future of transportation in Los Angeles. What that amounts to is … wait for it …. a series of tunnels! That pedestrians can access through a magnitude of street-level stations, no larger than — hang on — a parking spot!

Sound familiar? The good citizens of Twitter thought so.

This is just getting ridiculous pic.twitter.com/Xj97pLegX7

‘Gotham’ star Drew Powell has some thoughts about Butch Gilzean in the wake of Season 4’s finale

TwitterFacebook

This post contains spoilers for the Season 4 finale of Gotham, “No Man’s Land.”

Gotham arrived in 2014 with a ballsy premise: tell the story of how DC Comics’ most famous city became a place that needed, and perhaps deserved, the Batman.

In the course of setting up the presumably series-ending bat-reveal, the show has tossed in almost too many proto-versions of famous villains, future allies, and other comic book personalities. But smack in the middle of its ever-spooling web of Mad Hatters, Riddlers, Lucius Foxes, and Ivys was Butch Gilzean, an original creation of showrunners Bruno Heller and Danny Cannon.  Read more…

Trump made a video on Yanny vs. Laurel, and this meme is officially dead

TwitterFacebook

Why won’t government institutions leave memes alone?

The Yanny vs. Laurel debate took a dark turn when the U.S. Air Force thought it would be a good idea to use it in a now-deleted tweet that bragged about repressing a Taliban offensive.

SEE ALSO: What Yanny vs. Laurel taught us: We yearn to be divided

But the White House killed the meme for good when it released a video of staffers dividing into Team Yanny and Team Laurel.

Think this is fake news? We can assure you that unfortunately, this is very real. Here’s the video:

Ivanka Trump is definitely on Team Laurel, but Kellyanne “alternative facts” Conway isn’t too loyal to her side. She proudly says, “It’s Laurel,” before adding, “But I could deflect and defer to Yanny if you need me to.”  Read more…

Over 26,000 people sign petition to change the word ‘No’ to ‘Yesn’t’

TwitterFacebook

If your brain already hurts from the Yanny/Laurel drama, get ready for the next way to butcher the English language: changing “no” to “yesn’t.”

A Change.org petition to change the word “no” to “yesn’t” was posted on Tuesday. Since then, it’s gained over 26,000 signatures, gaining hundreds of more supporters every hour. The petition’s description only says “My Jeff,” because internet humor can’t get more bizarre than that.

There’s yesn’t shortage of memes about it.
