Lady Gaga fixed Rami Malek’s tie on the red carpet and it’s too wholesome

TwitterFacebook

A star is fixed.

During the Oscars on Sunday night, Lady Gaga and Rami Malek had a deeply wholesome moment when she straightened out his crooked bow tie.

The Bohemian Rhapsody star, bless his heart, showed up to the red carpet with his tie like this:

Oh no, Rami, what are you doing??

Until he ran into Her Majesty Lady Gaga, who took him under her glorious wing like the Mother Monster she is and fixed it.

Chris Evans being charming is the Oscar moment of our swoon-y dreams

TwitterFacebook

Chris Evans has always been the best Chris [Editor’s note: debatable], but his stellar behavior at the 91st Academy Awards further cements his status as the goodest boy named Christopher in Hollywood.

Evans’ fortuitous seat in the front row of the show and directly next to Best Supporting Actress winner Regina King made it easy for him to physically support her as she ascended the stairs to accept her award.

Oscars 2019 red carpet fashion: Glitz, glam, and challenging looks

TwitterFacebook

The 2019 Oscars has a strong field of nominees, but there were some strong looks on the red carpet too.

Of course, this year brought the usual glamour and dazzle, as evidenced by the sleek, metallic minimalism of Emilia Clarke and Brie Larson, or the disco ball-like glitz of Jennifer Lopez.

But we’re all about the gender binary challenging outfit of Billy Porter, who stole the show with a custom tuxedo gown designed by Christian Siriano. Also not playing it safe was Chadwick Boseman, whose all-black tailcoat was a reminder of just who is king. And some, like Jason Momoa with his velvet Fendi scrunchie, blended style with practicality. Read more…

Lady Gaga wore a massive diamond necklace and everyone thinks it looks very familiar

TwitterFacebook

A star was most definitely born on the Oscars red carpet, and it was hanging from Lady Gaga’s neck.

Gaga attended the 91st Academy Awards looking stunning, as expected, but after marveling over her hair, makeup, black gown, and gloves, no one could stop talking about the stunning, gigantic jewels around her neck.

Your faves Tina Fey, Maya Rudolph, and Amy Poehler sang ‘Shallow’ and Lady Gaga loved it

TwitterFacebook

The very first musical performance of Oscars night was from Queen, but the second came from Maya Rudolph, Tina Fey, and Amy Poehler.

The SNL vets belted out a few lines from “Shallow” while gearing up to present the first award of the night, Best Supporting Actress (which Regina King won for If Beale Street Could Talk). And Lady Gaga herself seems to have been a fan, laughing along in the audience.

In their time on stage, the trio also skewered this year’s tumultuous lead-up to the Oscars, the president’s longed-for border wall, and the infamous Fyre Festival sandwiches – while cracking cheesy puns about the nominees. (“My Spanx are moving into my Spider-Verse,” joked Poehler.) Read more…

Hostless Oscars kick off with a performance by Queen

TwitterFacebook

It’s a strange year for our friend Oscar, marooned without a host, and instead of opting for a replacement, the telecast kicked off in a whole new manner.

The Oscars opened with a performance by Queen (with Adam Lambert, who has toured with the band for years), whose songs and story defined Best Picture nominee Bohemian Rhapsody.

The audience of A-listers sang along enthusiastically, because even a room full of people who probably voted for vastly different Oscar movies can all stan Queen.

Okay one second in and the oscars are already lit.

Jason Momoa’s scrunchie truly won the Oscars red carpet

TwitterFacebook

There are truly not enough scrunchies on the Oscars red carpet.

Luckily, Jason Momoa is here.

The Aquaman star generated quite the online reaction with his Academy Awards red carpet get-up on Sunday, a dust pink tuxedo by the late Karl Lagerfeld. Actress and Momoa’s wife Lisa Bonet wore a matching blush gown also by the designer.

A strong look. Wait, what's that on Jason Momoa's wrist?

The kicker? Momoa donned a matching scrunchie on his wrist. And it wasn’t just any scrunchie, it was a Fendi scrunchie.

Anne Hathaway pokes fun at her terrible Oscars gig with perfect Instagram caption

The Academy Award-winning actress hosted with James Franco in 2011, and was widely panned by critics and audiences for it.
