It’s not going to be a regular summer for the Stranger Things kids.

The final trailer for the third season of the series has just dropped, taking a noticeably darker turn than previous teasers, which had Billy commanding the public pool as a lifeguard and Steve serving up ice cream.

Google desperately wants to win over geeks’ hearts

Google’s acting really strange these days.

First, the company basically says “fuck it,” then both confirms the Pixel 4 and its huge square-shaped camera bump. And now they company has publicly admitted to Business Insider that they’ve canceled two unreleased tablets and will instead focus on making Pixelbook laptops.

These two PR moves are unusual for a tech company. Usually, outfits like Google never acknowledge upcoming products. Why would they? It would take all the excitement out of their own launch event.

Moreover, tech companies don’t ever talk about canceled products because they’ll never see the light of day. No point in getting people all worked up over products that technically don’t exist. Read more…

Christian group petitions Netflix to cancel Amazon Prime’s ‘Good Omens’

Just when we thought fan petitions had reached their silly limit with one to remake Game of Thrones Season 8, another one has lunged itself upon us. 

A Christian group called the American Society for the Defense of Tradition, Family and Property has launched an online petition through their subset Return to Order to cancel Good Omens, the television adaptation of Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett’s novel. 

Only it was directed towards Netflix and not towards the streaming platform that made it — Amazon Prime. 

The six-part miniseries follows two unlikely friends, angel Aziraphale (Michael Sheen) and demon Crowley (David Tennant), as they attempt to stop the antichrist kid from starting the apocalypse.  Read more…

YouTuber recreated Apple’s Mac Pro case to see if it could grate cheese

In the culinary world, apples and cheese make a delightful pairing. In the tech world? Things are a bit more complex.

Many know the popular tech company, Apple, unveiled its new Mac Pro at its developer conference WWDC earlier this month. You’ll likely remember that when people saw the device they compared its aesthetic to that of a cheese grater.

The internet dragged Apple’s design like one might drag a fresh block of sharp cheddar down a handheld metal grate, and wondered if anyone ever dared to use the $5,999 innovation to literally grate cheese, would it work. 

Sadly, we’ll have to wait a bit longer to answer that pressing question, as the new Mac Pro hasn’t been released yet, but YouTuber
