Tesla’s next software update will make Autopilot fully autonomous

TwitterFacebook

Autopilot’s name may sound like it can drive a Tesla electric car for you, but it’s still a semi-autonomous feature that can auto-steer, keep you in your lane, brake, and accelerate the car forward as long as the driver is still paying full attention with hands on the wheel.

Tesla CEO Elon Musk claims a new Tesla software update is coming in August that will bring more autonomy to Autopilot. Musk tweeted early Sunday morning about Tesla Version 9.0 including major updates for Autopilot 2.0.

That issue is better in latest Autopilot software rolling out now & fully fixed in August update as part of our long-awaited Tesla Version 9. To date, Autopilot resources have rightly focused entirely on safety. With V9, we will begin to enable full self-driving features.

The next Halo game, Halo Infinite, was revealed with a brief teaser trailer during Xbox’s E3 press conference Sunday.

We don’t get much in this trailer but it does feature the infamous Master Chief, a handful of soldiers, and a stampede of rhino-like animals all on a vibrant and bustling Halo. There’s also a glimpse at one of the most iconic video game vehicles of all time: the Warthog. Whether this is the sixth main series Halo game or an offshoot is yet to be known.

The game is being developed by 343 Industries in the new Slipstream Engine, which we don’t know much about yet but it will undoubtedly be an improvement on past Halo engines.  Read more…

The royal children got too cute at Queen Elizabeth’s birthday

The flypast, for those unfamiliar with U.K. custom, is a ceremonial aircraft flight. It’s pretty cool, and George was sufficiently shook:

The U.S. president is seated with his arms crossed, while Merkel, and other world leaders (all standing, BTW) are seen staring down at him. Needless to say, everyone in the photo looks visibly tense. Arms are folded, hands are on the table, and people definitely noticed.
