Wallaby on the loose on city highway pursued by police

Even though wallabies are native to Australia, you’d be hard-pressed to find them casually hopping around in the city.

It’s perhaps why police got quite the surprise when a swamp wallaby was found bouncing along the Sydney Harbour Bridge, one of the city’s busiest roads, early Tuesday morning.

Traffic controllers and police monitored the wallaby’s trip down the highway, where it made an exit at the Cahill Expressway.
