TwitterFacebook

That’s either a dream or a nightmare depending on how you feel about the New England Patriots. But it’s a reality that some Pats-loving Mass. residents have had to face in the aftermath of a mailing mix-up.

A truck full of Axe body spray blew up and the reactions are priceless

TwitterFacebook

A truck carrying a shipment of Axe body spray caught fire on a Texas interstate Friday morning, causing cans of the infamous deodorant to explode and coat the atmosphere with the scent of middle school boys who don’t know any better.

In the wake of the explosion, reported by local news station WDRB in Belton, Texas, the highway was shut down for more than eight hours to clean up all the debris. Luckily nobody was injured in the incident.

U2 concert cut short after Bono completely loses his voice

TwitterFacebook

If you break a guitar string or bust a drumstick in half, that’s a pretty quick and easy fix for a live performer — just grab a replacement. If you lose your voice and singing is your entire job, that’s a whole different story.

During a concert in Berlin on Saturday night, U2 cut its set short after just five songs when lead singer Bono’s voice became noticeably strained.

Bono was apologetic when he told the audience that he couldn’t go on and said he was going to take a short break to find out what happened to his voice, as seen in the video below. Read more…

Human driver at fault for Apple’s first self-driving car crash

TwitterFacebook

The first car crash experienced by Apple’s fleet of self-driving vehicles happened just last week and it was apparently caused by a human driver — not Apple’s own technology.

According to a DMV report from the state of California obtained by The Verge, one of Apple’s self-driving Lexus SUVs was rear-ended by a human-operated Nissan Leaf on Aug. 24 in Sunnyvale. No injuries were reported, but both vehicles were damaged.

SEE ALSO: Don’t believe the naysayers: Self-driving cars are already here in many ways

Apple’s vehicle was merging onto the Lawrence Expressway and was moving at less than 1 mph, according to the report, and the Nissan was moving at 15 mph when it hit the self-driving car. The self-driving car’s speed seems quite slow for merging onto a high-speed expressway, but details are sparse in the report so we don’t know for sure if its speed was reasonable — the only information we get is that the vehicle was “waiting for a safe gap to complete the merge” when it was struck. Childish Gambino’s ‘Feels Like Summer’ video plays a game of ‘spot the reference’

TwitterFacebook

Now that it’s September, the hottest days of the year are (hopefully) firmly in the rearview. But for Childish Gambino, it still “Feels Like Summer.”

Donald Glover dropped a new video for his musical alter ego on Saturday. It’s a 5-minute journey through a summertime neighborhood populated by black celebrities (mostly hip hop stars), beautifully animated by artist Justin Richburg.

The video follows a young man — who looks suspiciously like a cartoon version of Glover-as-Earn, from Atlanta — as he strolls down the street, taking in the playful summer scenes. Occasionally he pauses and a dream-like interlude kicks in.  Read more…

In fact, here are 13 photos that do exactly that.

This is what critics are saying about the ‘Suspiria’ remake

TwitterFacebook

Luca Guadagnino has come a long way from Call Me By Your Name. His newest project, a remake of 1977’s witch-horror movie Suspiria, recently premiered at the Venice Film Festival to…somewhat mixed reviews.

Reviewers say that while the movie is stylish and Guadagnino’s directorial eye is strong, the thematic additions he layered onto the original’s more straightforward horror plot worked for some people and turned others off.
