Bose QuietComfort II, SoundSport Free, and more Bose headphones are up to $80 off at Walmart to prep for Cyber Monday

TwitterFacebook

This is not a drill: Bose headphones are somehow still on sale (and somehow still in stock) at Walmart and we are confused (in a good way).

These bad boys were the one thing that didn’t go on sale early for Black Friday — because Bose knows people want them bad enough to pay full price — so the fact that they’re still discounted is kind of blowing our minds. We’re not complaining, though. (We’re also not sure if they’ll still be on sale for Cyber Monday, so you might want to act fast in case this is just a weekend thing.)

And it isn’t just one pair that’s on sale: The Bose QuietComfort 35 II headphones, the SoundSport Free Truly Wireless headphones, and a few other pairs have all had their prices slashed — so whether you’re an earbud person, over-ear person, or are still clinging to the headphone jack for dear life, there’s something on sale for you. A few Bluetooth speakers from Bose are also on sale. Read more…

Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez ‏trolls Fox News in Spanish and it is glorious

TwitterFacebook

Conservative media is obsessed with Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, and she’s getting increasingly more creative in shutting them down.

In her, they have found a Democrat whose wardrobe they love to obsess over the likes of which they haven’t had since Barack Obama’s tan suit. Ocasio-Cortez, of course, is taking it all in stride.

After their latest attempt at fashion-shaming Ocasio-Cortez blew up, you’d think people would steer clear and wait for the new congresswoman to, you know, actually get sworn in and start legislating before they criticized her again. But Fox News couldn’t leave well enough alone.  Read more…

U.S. says 5G networks are ‘vulnerable’ to undermine Chinese suppliers: report

TwitterFacebook

It’s no secret that the U.Sdoesn’t want Huawei or any other Chinese tech company selling its networking equipment in America. Now it’s taking that cause beyond its borders.

The U.S. government is actively pressuring allies and telecom companies in those countries to stop them from using networking equipment from Huawei and other China-based tech companies, the Wall Street Journal is reporting. The U.S. is specifically pointing to supposed vulnerabilities inherent to 5G, the report said, in order to dissuade Huawei’s partners.

One unnamed U.S. official in the report cited “additional complexities to 5G networks that make them more vulnerable to cyberattacks.” In the briefings between the U.S. and its allies, a key talking point is that individual 5G cell towers will take on more “core” functions with regard to voice and data traffic, which isn’t the case with current (4G LTE and older) equipment, according to the report. History made with first LGBT kiss at Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade

TwitterFacebook

The coldest Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade on record had the most heartwarming of moments.

In a historic first at the world-famous Thanksgiving parade in New York City, the two lead actresses of the new Broadway musical “The Prom” kissed. The smooch between Caitlin Kinnunen and Isabelle McCalla was nationally broadcast and occurred during the Broadway show’s musical number in the 92nd annual Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.

“The Prom” debuted on Broadway in October and is currently running at the Longacre Theatre in New York. The show is a story about two teenagers, Emma and her girlfriend Alyssa — played by Kinnunen and McCalla, respectively — living in small-town Indiana. The two high school students want to go to their prom together, but the school’s parent-teacher association cancels the dance altogether once they find out. Read more…
