Donald Trump has touched The Orb. Here’s what that means

President Donald Trump’s trip to Saudi Arabia over the weekend went largely as planned. He appeared jovial on his first trip abroad, he announced billions in Saudi investment in the U.S., and his speech on terrorism was well received.

Last, but not least, he touched The Orb.

Donald Trump became the first sitting U.S. president to touch The Orb.

The Orb, of course, has existed long before the United States and even the concept of democracy, government, or even society. Its origins remain unknown and no sitting U.S. president has ever dared touch it, out of both fear and respect for its Power. So what does it mean that Donald Trump touched it? Well, a few things. In Trump’s America, MSNBC and Stephen Colbert are super successful

MSNBC has long served as an also-ran to Fox News and CNN.

Not anymore. At least, not for now.

MSNBC won the ratings battle for cable news channels last week — the first time that’s ever happened. MSNBC bested its competitors in both overall viewers and the highly coveted demo of adults 24 to 54 years of age, according to TV reporter Joe Adalian.

And not just that. Fox News came in third in that demographic for the first time in nearly two decades.

For 1st time ever @MSNBC is No. 1 cable news net in prime time. For 1st time in 17 years @FoxNews is No. 3

Woman’s $15 ‘costume jewelry’ ring turns out to be worth $450,000

One lucky woman who paid $15 for a large “costume jewelry” ring got the surprise of her life after learning the ring is worth way, way, WAY more than that.

Thirty years ago, an unnamed owner bought an “exceptionally sized” stone from a flea market at the West Middlesex hospital in west London, The Guardian reports. She wore the ring for years while shopping and even doing chores before bringing it into Sotheby’s after a jeweler told her it could be valuable. And boy, is it valuable.

The ring, it turns out, is worth $450,000.

A ring she bought for $15 is worth almost half a million…

Google Home has a cute Easter egg about Amazon’s Echo

In the battle of household robots that people talk to instead of using their phones, at least we can all still be friends.

There’s an arms race going on between Google and Amazon to have the best personal assistant. Amazon has the Echo, and Google has the Home. Each of the slightly creepy robots have their own pros and cons, but Google just one-upped Amazon on cute Easter eggs.

A YouTuber noticed that if you ask Google Home to “say hi to Alexa,” it actually plays off one of the Echo’s automatic responses.

“I’m so excited, I have a question for her. Alexa, will you be my friend?” the Home asks. Read more…

Kid rapper releases fidget spinner song that actually kinda slaps

World, I guess it’s time for you to meet Matt Ox.

If you don’t already know who this kid is, just consider him a spawn of Post Malone. It’s hard to find much information about him, but Matt Ox is basically the more explicit version of MattyB, and goes as hard as you can get for a kid who raps.

In “Overwhelming,” he reps his hometown of Philadelphia and boldly raps about getting money—all while twirling some fidget spinners.

If this is what the future of music is like, then well, we’ve got a lot to look forward to.

Twirl on, Matt Ox.

Astronauts to go on ‘contingency’ spacewalk to fix Space Station

NASA astronauts Peggy Whitson and Jack Fischer are preparing for a hastily-scheduled spacewalk to repair a faulty part on the International Space Station (ISS).

The “contingency spacewalk,” which will take place on Tuesday morning, is aimed at removing and replacing a part known as the Multiplexer-Demultiplexer (MDM), which failed on Saturday morning. The cause of the failure is not known, NASA said in a blog post on Sunday.
