Two CNN reporters wore matching green jackets, and of course they got green screened

TwitterFacebook

I love a good matching outfit — and so, too, does Twitter.

On Wednesday, two CNN correspondents looked like twins when they wore seemingly identical green jackets on air. On their own, the matching jackets might inspire a “ha” or even a “hahaha.” But because green coats are so easy to manipulated thanks to green screen technology, things got weirder.

Look at what The Daily’s Show Matt Negrin did to this beautiful, otherwise transitory, viral moment. This rendition of the “Big Enough” meme may never be topped.

do not wear green on TV and if you’re going to wear green on TV do not wear it next to SOMEONE ELSE WEARING THE SAME GREEN THING ON TV OR THIS WILL HAPPEN TO YOU pic.twitter.com/y9vsX7qgWB

Instagram and Facebook went down, so of course everyone made jokes on Twitter

TwitterFacebook

It’s been zero days since our last internet incident.

If you haven’t been able to post a status about your lunch, give your friend’s OOTD a like, or check if your star sign is getting dragged on meme accounts, it’s been a rough day for you.

Facebook and Instagram have been experiencing issues across the globe on Wednesday, with both websites and the apps being intermittently down, and some features not functioning for many users. Facebook-owned WhatsApp has also been experiencing problems.

SEE ALSO: Facebook is down and Instagram is struggling

Much like the iconic scene from The Office, we should all listen to the wise words of Michael Scott and stay calm people. However, the internet did what it does best — set itself on fire and ran to Twitter to react.  Read more…

TwitterFacebook

Everybody thinks their dog is the best dog in the world — and they’re right. All doggos are the best doggos in the world. 11/10. 100% good boy/girl.

You already know that your dog is unique, but you’re probably wondering what about your pet’s genetic makeup makes them so special. Why are his eyes two different colors? Why does she have spotted fur? Why does he insist on barking any time something walks past the window?

SEE ALSO: Which DNA test kit should you get? This guide can help.

You could put a picture of your dog on Twitter and have people vote on what he or she is — but Mashable did a  What’s your mutt? quiz last year that proves to all of us that we suck at guessing.  Read more…

The trailer for ‘CRYPTO’ just dropped, and cryptocurrency is good now

TwitterFacebook

With all the exit scams, weird meat obsessions, and cantankerous fan-boy culture, the world of cryptocurrency is kind of a drag. And that’s without even touching on the current and persistent bear market.

But all that has changed, denizens of the internet. Cryptocurrency is good now, and we owe it all to the trailer for the upcoming crypto-themed action flick starring none other than Snake Plissken himself. Say hello to CRYPTO, the film that, like its eponymous subject matter, features a bunch of idiots fighting over bullshit and terrible security practices.

‘Halo: The Master Chief Collection’ is finally coming to PC

TwitterFacebook

Halo is coming to PC. Can you believe it?

Halo: The Master Chief Collection — a package that includes Halo: Reach, Halo: Combat Evolved, Halo 2, Halo 3, Halo 3: ODST, and Halo 4 — will be coming to PC for the first time. But there’s a catch: It’s not going to be released all at once.

Instead, the games will be released — and sold individually — in canonically chronological order, starting with Reach (which didn’t even appear in the original Xbox One version of The Master Chief Collection) and ending with 4

It’s not clear when they’ll start to arrive, but you’ll be able to buy it either on Steam or from the Microsoft Store. It’s already up for pre-order on the latter, for $30. Read more…

Usain Bolt promotes e-scooters in New York, where it’s illegal to ride them

TwitterFacebook

The world’s fastest man, Usain Bolt, stood on the steps of New York City Hall on Tuesday to promote the national launch of e-scooter sharing company, Bolt Mobility.

The two Bolts share a name, so it only made sense that Bolt the company would bring Bolt the human onboard as its official brand ambassador. At the conference, standing next to Bolt the man was the company’s newly unveiled “Chariot,” a scooter model large enough to store a rider’s bags and comes complete with two cup holders.

Bolt Mobility brand ambassador Usain Bolt poses atop the "Chariot" model e-scooter, which he could not actually legally ride at the New York press conference.
