Listen to the ‘Game of Thrones’ theme on traditional Southeast Asian folk instruments

Here’s something to tide you over till the next episode of Game of Thrones.

Kontra-GaPi (Kontemporaryong Gamelan Pilipino) of the Philippines used traditional folk instruments from Southeast Asia to make a cool rendition of the Game of Thrones theme.

The Gamelan, which features central in their ensemble, is a traditional Indonesian mallet instrument. 

The group is the resident ethnic music and dance ensemble at the University of the Philippines in Diliman. They also used the kulibet, esmi, and solibaw for the cover.
