John McCain, ever the political dramatist, has always understood the value of TV comedy

Senator John McCain came to his senses Friday morning and joined his Republican colleagues Senators Lisa Murkowski and Susan Collins in voting no on a “skinny” repeal of the Affordable Care Act. 

In the past five days, Murkowski and Collins have consistently voted against measures to repeal the Affordable Care Act. Meanwhile, McCain voted yes on Tuesday to proceed with debate, and yes on a repeal and replace amendment that failed to pass. It was only during Wednesday and Friday’s votes that the Arizona senator joined his female colleagues in voting no.
