Girl Scout troop leader on the run after stealing $15,000 worth of cookies

Girl Scout cookies are delicious, there’s no doubt about that. But are they delicious enough for you to want to steal $15,000 worth of them?

For one Kentucky Girl Scout troop leader, they just might be. Leah Ann Vick, 26-year-old former troop leader, was indicted on charges of theft after the local Girl Scout branch reported the massive quantity of stolen cookies.

It seems that Vick not only picked up the cookies meant for her troop to sell, but the cookies for another troop as well. And now she’s nowhere to be found. According to the Appalachian News-Express, authorities have visited several addresses in multiple towns associated with Vick but she hasn’t turned up. Read more…
