Even the CEO of Goldman Sachs is tweeting at Donald Trump—and he never tweets

Lloyd Blankfein joined Twitter in 2011, but he took his sweet time before sending that first tweet. 

The Goldman Sachs CEO waited for the perfect moment yesterday—aka six years later—when he tweeted to criticize President Donald Trump’s decision to abandon the Paris Climate Agreement. The climate agreement bound every country on the planet, besides Syria, Nicaragua, and now the United States, to work to fight climate change. 

Today’s decision is a setback for the environment and for the U.S.’s leadership position in the world#ParisAgreement

It’s not just like Blankfein is an inactive Twitter member. As the CEO of a multi-billion-dollar investment bank, Blankfein’s words have consequences, and he treads cautiously.  Read more…
