Childish Gambino’s ‘This Is America’ is No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot 100, as it should be

Looks like Childish Gambino has another earworm on his hands. 

Earlier this month, the rapper, also formally known as Donald Glover, released his new single “This Is America.” Since its video was uploaded to YouTube, it’s racked up over 111,000,000 views — an incredibly impressive feat considering it’s only been up for nine days. With numbers like that, it’s no surprise that the track has landed Glover his very first Billboard chart-topping position. 

According to Billboard, the song took the number one spot on Billboard Hot 100 in both streams and sales with 65.3 million streams and 78,000 downloads in the week ending on May 10, based on numbers from Nielsen Music.  Read more…
