Sabrina Spellman has another chilling adventure coming up: an appearance on Riverdale.

Fans, including myself, were devastated when Chilling Adventures of Sabrina was canceled by Netflix in 2020. Why should Riverdale, which resides in the same Archie Comics universe, be renewed for yet another season and not Chilling Adventures of Sabrina? When Sabrina Spellman’s appearance on Season 6, Episode 19 of Riverdale was announced, people took to Twitter to express their mixed feelings and confusion.

Some folks are just happy with the thought of seeing Kiernan Shipka as Sabrina Spellman, our beloved teen witch, on screen again:

However, for others, the announcement of Spellman’s appearance on Riverdale has brought back painful memories of the show’s cancellation, along with the saltiness of Riverdale’s continuation. People are concerned that the crossover will taint Sabrina’s legacy.

According to the episode’s trailer, it seems as though Sabrina Spellman will be visiting Riverdale to help bring Archie and Jughead back from the dead. Riverdale and Greendale (where Sabrina is from) are neighboring towns in the Archie Comics universe, so the crossover itself isn’t far-fetched. However, Riverdale’s turn to the supernatural in Season 6 is a drastic change for the show, considering it’s been supernatural-free for the past five seasons. Season 6 of Riverdale kicked off with a special five-episode sequence called “Rivervale,” establishing the Blossom family’s history with magic and the supernatural. For former fans of the CW series, Riverdale’s turn to the supernatural — a hallmark of the channel — isn’t any more or less surprising than some of the show’s wilder plots and continued commitment to musicals. 

Sabrina’s appearance on Riverdale has also left people with a burning question: Is Sabrina alive, and if she is, how? Spellman technically died and crossed over to the Sweet Hereafter (a version of heaven in the Chilling Adventures of Sabrina). If she’s on Riverdale, it either means the events of the show take place before her death, Sabrina has been resurrected. 

This is also not the first time Sabrina Spellman has been featured in Riverdale. Her brief appearance in Season 6, Episode 4 left Chilling Adventures of Sabrina fans upset because of her short screen time. People are afraid that this might happen with her upcoming appearance in Episode 19 as well. Excitement and fear aside, fans are just upset that they’ll have to begrudgingly watch Riverdale just to see Sabrina again.

Sure, they’re small, but that doesn’t mean earbuds are a purchase to be taken lightly.

You’ve probably been listening to music on the go for most of your life. So you know that finding a good pair of earbuds is actually pretty tricky. (I’ve gone through more in my lifetime than I can count.)

Does that mean all earbuds are crap? No. It’s simply not true that bass, noise cancellation, and crisp sound can only be found in fancy over-ear headphones. Some of us prefer our headphones to be a little more inconspicuous and portable.

Since it’s always good to get a personal recommendation, we did some research and pulled out the best earbuds on Amazon. You’ll find earbuds that require a headphone jack or the beloved dongle, wireless Bluetooth earbuds that still have a connecting cord, and the truly wireless earbuds that are as discreet as you can get. Whatever your preference and whatever your price range, you’re sure to find some that don’t suck.

Earbuds versus earphones: What’s the difference? 

The difference between earbuds and earphones is actually pretty simple. Earphones typically fit over your ear — if you’ve seen the AirPods Max, you’ve seen what a typical pair of over-ear headphones look like. Earbuds actually fit inside of your ear, like the Powerbeats Pro or AirPods Pro. 

You can find fantastic versions of either style; your choice will just come down to personal preference. Earphones typically aren’t as harsh on your ears, featuring soft earcups to prevent soreness, but earbuds are a lot more compact and funnel audio directly into your eardrums. Earbuds can usually get a better seal for enhanced noise-cancelation, too. 

How much should I spend on earbuds? 

When it comes to any type of audio device, you tend to get what you pay for. Obviously, you shouldn’t put yourself into debt over a pair of headphones, but you don’t want anything too cheap, either. Sure, you can pick up a pair of off-brands at your local gas station, but those will be broken by the end of the week. $80 is normally a good starting point for decent earbuds that will last you a while, and they can cost well over $200 depending on what you get. Luckily, earbuds go on sale all the time.

Are corded or wireless earbuds better? 

They both have their uses, but the main difference is input lag. Corded earbuds wil usually have less input delay than a pair of wireless earbuds, but if you have a really nice pair of wireless buds, you probably won’t even notice. Also, fumbling around with a cord tends to get annoying for a lot of people.

What are the most important things to look for when it comes to earbuds? 

The most important thing is always going to be sound quality. Whether you’re streaming music, watching movies, or listing to podcasts and audiobooks, you want them all to sound clear and immersive. (This is where “you get what you pay for” really comes in.) You’ll also want to consider things like comfort, sizing (does it come with multiple ear tips?), battery life, noise-cancelation, and the control interface. 

Think about whether you want your headphones to have a microphone or not — on wired headphones it’s usually built into the cord; on wireless headphones, near the part that sticks out of the ear. Some people like to be able to take calls from their earbuds as they go; others enjoy being able to just hit ignore on the phone without knowing they could easily take the call. Not all earbud mics are created equal, either — some are downright terrible, making calls super-crackly; others will let you have a fairly clear conversation.

Wordle is a daily word game created by Josh Wardle, a Brooklyn-based software engineer who has developed something of a reputation as a crafter of interesting social experiments. Every day, the people of the internet are greeted with a fresh word puzzle that can only be solved — or not! — using a series of process-of-elimination clues.

Thousands of people around the globe now play this game each day, and fans have even created alternatives to Wordle inspired by the original format. This includes music identification game Heardle, Hollywood nerd faves Actorle and Framed, and variations like Dordle and Quordle that make you guess multiple words at once.

What’s the best Wordle starting word?

We have some ideas to help you pick the perfect first move (or as close to perfect as you can get without just magically guessing the exact right word). Such tips include choosing a word with at least two different vowels in it, plus a few common consonants such as S, T, R, or N.

Is there a Wordle app for Android or iOS? Is Wordle free?

You might find “Wordle” results in an iOS App Store or Google Play Store search, but don’t mistake it for the real thing. Wordle, the original one Josh Wardle came up with and kindly delivered unto the internet in late 2021, currently only exists as a browser game that lives right here. If you’re playing it anywhere else, it’s — at best — a shameless knock-off that’s trying to capitalize on someone else’s success.

Is Wordle getting harder?

If you’ve been finding Wordle too easy, there is a Hard Mode you can enable to give yourself more of a challenge. But unless you activate this mode, we can assure you that Wordle isn’t getting harder.

Just when you thought you knew everything there was to know about the January 6 attempt to overturn the 2020 presidential election results, some new revelation comes along.

But this last-minute bombshell testimony from Cassidy Hutchinson, a former top aide to Trump’s chief of staff Mark Meadows, is unlike anything we’ve heard before.

And the former president is none too happy with what Hutchinson shared to the Select Committee and the public, if his posts on Truth Social throughout the televised hearing are any indication.

“I hardly know who this person, Cassidy Hutchinson, is, other than I heard very negative things about her (a total phony and “leaker”)…” posted Trump on his social media platform in his first of a dozen rants. “She is bad news!”

During Hutchinson’s testimony on Tuesday, we discovered that Trump apparently urged the Secret Service to remove the metal detectors from the area where he was giving his speech on the morning of Jan. 6. The attendees were, after all, his supporters, and Trump said they were “not here to hurt me,” Hutchinson testified. 

Trump’s response on Truth Social? Denial.

“I didn’t want or request that we make room for people with guns to watch my speech. Who would ever want that?” he posted on his social network, which he only started using last month. “Not me! Besides, there were no guns found or brought into the Capitol Building…So where were all of these guns?”

However, Trump’s defense is incorrect. A number of his supporters were found to be carrying firearms while storming the Capitol that day and are being charged accordingly. Other Trump supporters were carrying knives, bats, and other weaponry that day too.

Hutchinson also testified that Trump had apparently thought he was going to be escorted to the Capitol building on Jan. 6, to join the rioters after his speech had finished. Once he got into the presidential limousine, he found that the Secret Service were refusing to let him go. Irate, Hutchinson said Trump then lunged for the limo’s steering wheel and scuffled with his security.

The former top White House aide also says she was privy to interesting tidbits that occurred prior to the events of Jan. 6. In December 2020, Trump became so enraged after finding out that then-Attorney General Bill Barr dismissed his election fraud claims that he threw his lunch at the wall, she testified. Hutchinson found a shattered plate and ketchup dripping down the wall in the White House dining room.

So Trump shared responses on Truth Social to those portions of Hutchinson’s testimony as well.

“Her Fake story that I tried to grab the steering wheel of the White House Limousine in order to steer it to the Capitol Building is ‘sick’ and fraudulent, very much like the Unselect Committee itself,” wrote Trump. “Wouldn’t even have been possible to do such a ridiculous thing.” 

“Her story of me throwing food is also false…and why would SHE have to clean it up, I hardly knew who she was?” he continued.

From there, Trump proceeded to demonstrate how he would never act out in a fit of rage by…acting out in a fit of rage.

“Her body language is that of a total bull…. artist. Fantasy Land!” posted Trump.

“A Total Phony!!!” he said in another Truth Social post.

The 45th president also denied saying that his vice president, Mike Pence, “deserved” to be hanged for not helping Trump overturn the 2020 presidential elections which he lost to the current president Joe Biden.

Trump proceeded to call the hearing a “Kangaroo Court!” because there was no “cross-examination of the witness.” It’s important to note that this is not a trial. Also Trump and the Republican Party have refused to take part in the hearings.

All-in-all, if you wondered what Trump’s behavior would’ve been like on Twitter during these hearings if he wasn’t banned, Trump is showing you right on Truth Social: pejoratives and trash talk with some classic Trump-isms peppered in. But being that its on his own social media platform, he’s now monetizing it as well…at least while he can.

A federal criminal investigation is currently threatening the merger deal between Trump’s social media business and Digital World Acquisition Corp. (DWAC), a publicly-listed shell company. The merger would essentially fast-track Trump’s business into becoming a publicly traded company. DWAC’s shares have plummeted based on the news.

Between the Jan. 6 Select Committee and this investigation, expect more angry tweets…err…”truths” from Trump in the near future.

Do this with every gadget, gizmo, and knick-knack you think would make a worthy addition to your collection of goods, or shop for upcoming birthdays, bridal showers, or even the winter holidays. What you’ll end up with is an organized, definitive page of all that you desire. View it all at a glance, or even rank each item based on how much you want it.

Your Amazon wishlist is one of the most useful tools that you have at your disposal come Prime Day.

Then, and here’s the important part, be sure to check back on your list when Prime Day kicks into high gear — you’ll be able to see which products have gone on sale and snatch them up before they’re gone.

Amazon’s 30% discount on Samsung’s Jet Bot+ is a gem of a find compared to the full price listed on Samsung’s own website. The Jet Bot+ uses LiDAR to map your home and cleans by identifying the type of surface and amount of dust it’s dealing with. The compact Clean Station holds up to a month’s worth of debris.

Opting for a vacuum with LiDAR mapping is a smart move if you have a complicated floor plan. Are robot vacuums worth it?

The control of an upright vacuum comes with its own type of satisfaction. But if you’re not one to classify cleaning as cathartic, a robot vacuum could erase that huge, agonizing task from of your chore list. (And did we mention the joy of having “first day clean” floors all the time?)

But whether robot vacuums are worth it or not comes with a caveat: It can’t be just any robot vacuum. A cheap robovac that doesn’t do the job right — scattering dust, bumping into walls, getting stuck on area rugs — might actually create more work for you.

What to consider when buying a robot vacuum

• Suction power: A vacuum is the one purchase that you hope sucks a lot. Suction power is typically measured in Pascals (Pa), with most current vacs ranging between 1,500 Pa and 3,000 Pa. Stronger sucking will be needed to pick up heavier pieces of debris (be sure to set a no-go zone around Legos) and to pull matted-down pet hair from rugs.

• Floor type: Carpeting and high pile rugs will probably require stronger suction than hard floors, as well as special features like an extra-wide or self-cleaning brush roll to prevent hair from wrapping and clogging. Folks in homes with multiple floor types might consider a bigger, sturdier robot vacuum that can hurl itself and its wheels over mats, rugs, and transitions from carpet to hard floors.

• Automatic emptying: Because robot vacuums are typically under four inches tall, their onboard dust bins are also small — which means they frequently require emptying. (Dustbins fill up particularly quickly in homes with pets.) A self-emptying vacuum takes that job out of your hands, emptying itself into a larger dustbin in its charging dock. These larger bins can typically hold weeks of dirt without needing to be cleaned or dumped out.

• Home layout: Every robot vacuum is equipped with sensors and drop detection. But if your home has lots of rooms, lots of turns, or lots of close-together furniture, you’ll have fewer navigation issues with an advanced model that uses intelligent mapping to remember exactly how your home is laid out, including labeling of specific rooms, mental notes of staircases, and ability to deploy zone cleaning.

• Low-profile furniture: No one should have to be scared about what’s accumulated under their couch over the past year. A robot vacuum measuring three inches or less in height should be able to scoot under most low-hanging couches and beds.

• Battery life and square footage: One of the main complaints people have about their robot vacuum is that it craps out in the middle of the floor. Larger spaces require more time to clean, and it all depends on how annoyed you’ll be if it only finishes a few rooms at a time. Average run times for the list below range between 90 and 200 minutes, which translate to about 500 and 2,800 square feet covered on one charge.

• App control: WiFi-enabled robot vacuums can be synced with a smartphone app to control scheduling, manual start, cleaning settings, as well as telling your vac to make its rounds when you’re not home. Low-end models that don’t connect to WiFi will usually come with a separate remote. If you’re used to asking Alexa or Google to turn off the lights or tell you the weather, a model with voice integration will blend in nicely.
