Assassin’s Creed Origins made its big debut during the Xbox briefing and it sure is… different. And not just because you can take direct control of your pet eagle.
The game is set in ancient Egypt and stars Bayek, an elite warrior who fights to preserve the culture and society of his homelandOrigins picks up in the latter days of ancient Egypt’s life; it’s there that the Assassin Brotherhood was born, apparently.
Microsoft shared both a first-look trailer (below) and a five-minute clip featuring an assassination quest. It looks like the Assassin’s Creed you know, but note the subtle differences, such as experience levels, ability points, and gear dropsOrigins changes up a lot of the established rules that we’ve come to know.
