A melty duck is the biggest internet mystery of our time

The internet is no stranger to liars, cheats, and thieves, which causes everyone to question the authenticity of every little thing they see. Melty ducks are no exception.

High temperatures in Japan have apparently caused a cute little plastic duck to melt on a man’s dashboard. But when the tweet blew up, some users questioned the legitimacy of the melty duck — it just looked too ridiculous and too good to be true.

The tweet, which has racked up nearly 500,000 retweets since Tuesday, has a photo of the duck in its original, pristine form. Next to it, a sad, melted version, presumably ruined by the sun and its evil rays.  Read more…
